Osteopathy and GP's

GP referrals are most welcome and we are happy to communicate with your GP as needed (with your consent) however, it is not necessary. Most referrals are self- referral after recommendations from friends and family.

We would encourage patients to discuss their treatment with their GP’s so both practitioners can offer you the best possible care.

Osteopaths are classed as primary health care professional, we are taught examination and diagnosis skills and should we have any concerns we will refer you to your GP for further testing.

It is also possible to refer you directly to some private hospitals and clinics such as Northern MRI if it is felt this is appropriate.
